with a background steeped in competitive dance and training under industry-leading choreographers, brings a wealth of experience to Dance Xpress. Her tenure as the coach for Elkhorn South Dance Team includes multiple top 5 finishes at the National Dance Team Championship and their first-ever Class A State Title in Jazz in 2024. With a firm belief in the power of teamwork, Peyton fosters an environment where dancers flourish, aiming to empower every Dance Xpress member to surpass limits and thrive collectively.

Alicia grew up training in all genres of dance and developed a lifelong passion for movement and performance. As a high school dance team member, she learned the importance of teamwork, dedication, and precision. At 17, Alicia began teaching and choreographing, which led to a career dedicated to inspiring and developing dancers of all levels.

She continued her dance journey with the Husker Scarlets at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, competing at UDA Nationals in Jazz and Gameday. Since the age of 18, Alicia has taught technique, combo classes, dance team prep, and acro/tumbling, focusing on building strong, well-rounded athletes. She is currently an assistant coach for the Lincoln East Apollonaires Dance Team, where she continues to share her passion for performance and leadership with competitive dancers.

Alicia’s mission is to provide an inclusive and motivating environment where dancers can grow, achieve their goals, and gain skills that extend far beyond the studio and stage. 

For over 25 years, Betsy Andersen has been a prominent figure in the Lincoln and Omaha ballet scene, having taught and performed extensively. As a former advanced ballet student at the University of Nebraska, she showcased her talent with various dance companies, including the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company and the Omaha Modern Dance Collective. Additionally, Betsy's influence extends beyond the stage as she has coached numerous students to success in prestigious ballet competitions leading to scholarships & awards for her students.

Ashley and Julian, owners of Cheer and Dance Xpress are here to support the staff with any needs that arise during the dance season. Involved in cheer and dance for their whole lives, they also have 2 daughters who dance at Dance Xpress. Julian was part of the Husker Cheer Squad in college and continues to support the dance staff with acro training for our dancers.
